Gin Rummy Stars Ads

Brief

BeachBum had 11 video ads in four different aspect ratios for their mobile game Gin Rummy Stars that they wanted localized in 21 languages. They provided the project files, and once BLEND translated the on-screen text, I was tasked with updating the videos in each of the languages. Many assets, including fonts, text, and plugins, were missing from the project files so I had to recreate some of the content as close as I could get it to the original English videos. Overall, this project took just under a year to complete.

For this specific video ad, I had to recreate and animate the text for "RUN" and "SET" as the original text was not editable. I edited "GIN" in a Photoshop file they provided, but it took some trial and error to make sure it worked because it had many layers and smart objects to go through, and I had to readjust the sizing of the translated text to make sure it fit and looked right. The end card was not editable so I replaced it from an end card in another project file the client had given, adjusted the colors and text, and added the App Store and Google Play icons from their respective websites. I had to repeat this for the three other sizes.
